Welcome! I’m Mina Fujii, a mixed-media artist currently exploring the interactions between texture, pattern, and vivid color. The themes of my works are derived from my study of cultural evolution in America. I use both my personal perspective as a Japanese-Vietnamese American and my research of processes like assimilation and acculturation to inform my practice. Additionally, I enjoy utilizing geometric compositions and figuring out ways to make simple forms represent complex themes. I have participated in classes and programs at Arcadia University, Maryland Institute College of Art, and Moore College of Art, and I am now pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. Other than creating art, I love listening to/seeing musicals, trying exotic fruit, and looking through graphic design books. I hope you enjoy viewing my work! :)
